[CF-metadata] How to call dimension variables which are a function of an actual dimension?

Hi all,

My current use-case is that I have some coordinates which are a function
of a "standard-named" quantity. For example, I have a coordinate
"cosine of solar zenith angle".

Is this case covered by CF conventions? How would I need to name the
variable?
