Dear Frederique,
I think Jonathan meant to say that Section 5.3 may be relevant for the equal
area grid, not the Gaussian grid. The Gaussian grids I'm familiar with are all
cartesian latitude, longitude grids, so even though the latitudes are not
equally spaced, they are not difficult to treat.
