Dear Jonathan and Martin,
Martin's request for the new region names appeared on the mailing list just as I was updating the CF website with this week's standard name changes. I see no reason why these two new entries shouldn't be added, so I did it straight away and was going to post something about it shortly. This is why the two names are already there, but thanks for spotting my spelling mistake, Jonathan! I'll correct that now.
I'll post to the list later today regarding the other updates.

I see that the Strait of Gibraltar is already in this list

but it's mispelled as gibralter_strait! That should be corrected. I've never heard it called "Gibraltar Strait" but Google does find some rare hits for that and so we could keep it that way round for consistency with other straits.
davis_strait is in the list.
