An extra bit of info on this. The trac and mailman lists are indeed
independent. They are synchronized by hand. As moderator of the
cf-metadata mailman list I keep a list of new subscriptions and removals
from the list and every now and then I forward that list to folks at
PCMDI. So when someone subscribes to cf-metatdata they are eventually also
subscribed to the trac mail list, but there can be considerable lag in this
process. At some point the plan is that the cf-metadata mailman list or
something to replace it will be implemented on the PCMDI end and that will
remove the need to keep two independent lists in synch.
