[CF-metadata] SIMIP: ridged_sea_ice area type

Hello Alison,

just following up on some SIMIP issues. In an exchange last year Jonathan suggested that we introduce a ridged_sea_ice area type ( http://mailman.cgd.ucar.edu/pipermail/cf-metadata/2016/058902.html ), instead of the new standard name ridged_sea_ice_thickness proposed by SIMIP.

Do you have this on your lists somewhere? Can the new area type be added?
