Dear Alejandro

I think that liquid_water_cloud would be preferable to liquid_cloud, on
grounds of consistency as you say, and also clarity. liquid_water is a phrase
used in many standard names to refer to cloud composition e.g.
  atmosphere_mass_content_of_convective_cloud_liquid_water
to give just one example. What would ice_water_cloud mean? The phrase
ice_cloud is used in the existing standard_name
  number_concentration_of_ice_crystals_in_air_at_ice_cloud_top
so I think ice_cloud would be OK to use if that's what you mean.
