[CF-metadata] request for large number of new variable names

All,

Re the CF standard name table: The site is still in work, but if you go to
  http://cfconventions.org/standard-names-26.html
you can see all the names on a page, and search using your browser within that table. I think it's fair to say that's an authoritative document, even if some links are still broken. At least we can say that until somebody finds a problem with it.

Clicking on the Documents menu item takes you to
  http://cfconventions.org/documents.html
which has all the old (pre v26) versions in XML, and has an apparent link to the v26 XML, but that link is broken.

To my understanding the site is actively being improved, and soon I think a lot of issues will be taken care of.

Is anyone working on this?

I suggest first get experience with just a small number, maybe a few from each category, and then look at organizing the request into some major categories. Then the review process on the discussion list may have less churn. [1]

I have thought about it a lot because of a similar activity?recently I chose to systematize *all* the existing CF parameters, in order to organize Marinexplore's (/PlanetOS's) internal structure for terms. So maybe we can collaborate.
