Dear Aleksander,

Thank you for your replies. I have incorporated your comments into the definitions of the names and made some further minor adjustments for consistency of wording. Thank you also for answering the questions about units.

The following standard names are now accepted for inclusion in the table:
(6) sensor_zenith_angle (degree);
(7) platform_view_angle (degree);
(8) sensor_view_angle (degree);
(9) platform_azimuth_angle (degree);
(10) sensor_azimuth_angle (degree);
(11) relative_platform_azimuth_angle (degree);
(12) relative_sensor_azimuth_angle (degree);
(13) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber (W m-2 sr-1 (m-1)-1);
(14) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavelength (W m-2 sr-1 m-1);
(15) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber_mean_within_collocation_target (W m-2 sr-1 (m-1)-1);
(16) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber_stdev_within_collocation_target (W m-2 sr-1 (m-1)-1);
(17) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber_mean_within_collocation_scene (W m-2 sr-1 (m-1)-1);
(18) toa_outgoing_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber_stdev_within_collocation_scene (W m-2 sr-1 (m-1)-1);
(24) bias_in_toa_brightness_temperature_of_standard_scene_due_to_intercalibration (K).

I note that you have withdrawn the proposal for:
(22) covariance_between_constant_and_linear_terms_of_radiance_per_unit_wavenumber_correction_due_to_intercalibration (mW m-2 sr-1 (cm-1)-1)

The discussion on this particular name is therefore concluded and the name will not be added to the table. The name may be put forward again as a new proposal if that should become necessary at a later date.

I will respond separately regarding the small number of names that remain under discussion.

I am planning to update the standard name table this week and will shortly be posting a full list of the planned changes.

Best wishes,
Alison
