Dear all,
while re-processing the ACCMIP emission data set, we found an error in one of the recent standard_name additions for emission mass fluxes:
Due to a typo in the source categories in the original sector definition which we once submitted, there is now an error in the sector definition of industrial_processes_and_combustion:
The current definition reads: [...] "Industrial processes and combustion" is the term used in standard names to describe a collection of emission sources. A variable which has this value for the standard_name attribute should be accompanied by a comment attribute which lists the source categories and provides a reference to the categorization scheme, for example, "IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) source categories 1A2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and 2E as defined in the 2006 IPCC guidelines for national greenhouse gas inventories".
Please replace 2E by 2G (second line from bottom).
2E corresponds to "Production of halocarbons SF6", which is wrong
2G corresponds to "Non-energy use of lubricants/waxes (CO2)", which is correct
There are 22 standard_names "tendency_of_atmosphere_mass_content_of_X_due_to_emission_from_industrial_processes_and_combustion" affected.
