FYI, I have posted to the CF Trac site a technical proposal regarding
the suggested use of the well-known text format to encode additional
coordinate system properties in CF-netCDF files. You can find the
proposal at the following URL:

Comments and suggestions concerning the proposal are welcome. As per
the usual CF protocols, discussions should take place against the
aforementioned Trac ticket, rather than the mailing list.
Thanks are extended to colleagues at the UK Met Office for previewing a
number of early drafts of this proposal.
