Dear Beate,
I will check back in the archives to see what was discussed in the
thread. Over the next few days I will be preparing an update for the
standard name table - it may be possible to include these names if they
are already discussed and agreed.
Best wishes,
Alison

Subject: [CF-metadata] new standard_names for variables concerning
seasurface waves
Dear Jonathan,
your last comment to new wave-standard_names was from 2006/11/24.
After all hints and discussion (with out me due to my maternity leave)
it would be fine to have following names (although we prefer tm1, tm2,
tm-1):
sea_surface_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_first_freque
ncy_moment
sea_surface_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_second_frequ
ency_moment
sea_surface_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_inverse_freq
uency_moment
sea_surface_wave_peak_period_from_variance_spectral_density
sea_surface_wind_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_first_f
requency_moment
sea_surface_wind_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_second_
frequency_moment
sea_surface_wind_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_inverse
_frequency_moment
sea_surface_wind_wave_peak_period_from_variance_spectral_density
sea_surface_swell_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_first_
frequency_moment
sea_surface_swell_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_second
_frequency_moment
sea_surface_swell_wave_mean_period_from_variance_spectral_density_invers
e_frequency_moment
sea_surface_swell_wave_peak_period_from_variance_spectral_density
Could you include these new names in standard_name table?
Regards,
Beate
