Hi Ros,

No, there isn?t currently an XML version of the region names (I don?t think one has ever existed). If you do create a version and add it to the CF website I?d be happy to maintain it along with the XML and HTML versions of the standard_name and area_types tables.

Best wishes,
Alison

Subject: [CF-metadata] Standardized Region Names

Hi,

Is there a version of the standardized region names list
(http://cfconventions.org/Data/cf-standard-names/docs/standardized-region-names.html) in xml anywhere?

I'm in the process of getting the CF Checker to validate against the list of region names and it would be
easiest if it's in xml format like the area_types and standard_name tables. Am happy to create one if
one doesn't exist.

Regards,
Ros.
