OK. It looks like the appropriate mailman/apache/config option has been
found and set so things should be working as before. Let me know if any
problems remain.
That said it would be good to get this final piece of the original CF
website moved into the PCMDI domain. Many years ago there was some problem
with hosting the mailman server from LLNL. I've continued to moderate the
list since it didn't take much effort to do so. However I've recently
become aware that I'm no longer getting the bounce messages that allowed me
to let through legitimate posts by folks who were not subscribed to the
mail list. Seems to be related to NCAR's move to gmail. This is something
I've asked our sys admins to look into. But it may be that the time has
come to either move the mailman list to a new server that PCMDI can
maintain, or to transition to another mail list mechanism. Feedback
welcome.
