I'm not sure what the gitHub style versioning is, but this looks like this
 was done with Sphinx. Which is a pretty powerful way to put together a
structured document from ReStructured Text source -- and this looks pretty
nice -- thanks Richard!

(and it can do LaTeX and others for a nice printed version, too).

RST would be a LOT easier to manage in an SCM and have a variety of other
contribute to than XML.
