Dear CF Board,

I would like to propose a new standard name:
tropical_cyclone_maximum_sustained_wind_speed

Dimensions: m/s

Definition:

"tropical_cyclone_maximum_sustained_wind_speed" means the maximum
sustained wind speed of a tropical
cyclone derived using the Advanced Dvorak Technique based on satellite
observations, which has been empirically
related to maximum sustained 1-minute wind speed and mean sea level
atmospheric pressure.

Sincerely,

Gary
