I feel happier about these because

* they contain "radiation", which clarifies what the sensor is measuring. As
you say, there are other kinds of radiation than electromagnetic, but so far,
standard names haven't been requested for those, so we'll cross that bridge
when we come to it.

* you have clarified that these are separate convolutions, so they are not
simply related.

I guess "central" will give an idea to general user of standard names, even
though they will not know (without looking at the definition) precisely what
it means. Therefore these seem OK to me, as a general user, not a specialist.
