[CF-metadata] new standard name needed: toa_solar_irradiance_per_unit_wavelength

Folks:

  

Would like to propose a new standard name for a quantity that will be included in the GOES-R reflectance channels' radiance, and cloud and moisture imagery products. This is not a unique quantity, and has relevance to products generated by other systems, particularly weather satellite systems.

  

standard_name:

toa_solar_irradiance_per_unit_wavelength

  

definition:

"toa" means top of atmosphere. "solar" indicates contributions from the sun. Irradiance is the radiant power per unit area incident at a surface.

   

canonical units:

W m-2 ?m-1

   

   

Note the precedence for the form of this standard name was established recently in the thread with subject: [CF-metadata] More canonical units or more standard names?
