[CF-metadata] CF Chapter 9: Discrete sampling geometries times series, vertical projections

Could you point me to the best references and implementations for discrete geometries for CF? I don't see these on the CF Metadata > Documents page. I'd like to share these with others at OGC, this looks like a potential solution to handling time series as coverages in WCS. There's interest in this for INSPIRE in Europe, as well.
