That idea is easy to say (or request) but it would be very difficult to
implement because one of the most fundamental assumptions of the UDUNITS
library -- one around which the library is designed -- is the idea that
units have constant size; hence, Caron's and my suggestion for use of a
separate, calendar-handling library.
