Correct. It makes sense to me for a coordinate to have bounds, which
indicate the extent of the cell. I'm not sure what bounds on parameters
in a formula mean (i.e. the formula terms). On the other hand, once you
have defined the coordinate bounds, it would be nice to be able to go
from the dimensionless values to an actual location in space via the
formula, which clearly requires formula terms for the bounds.
