Hi John,

What about pyranometers that measure light intensity in terms of energy (by determining black body temperature change) as opposed to determining the quantity of photons?

Is ''A photometric measurement of' a critical part of the definition? I can imagine another magical technology that measures the intensity of the light in some other way. Well, I *can't* imagine the technology, but you know what I mean....
