[CF-metadata] Fwd: Re: CMIP5 Spreadsheet error!

Dear all,

I would appreciate advice concerning the attached email. What is the
difference between the following 2 standard names:

1) "water_sublimation_flux"
2) "surface_snow_and_ice_sublimation flux"

2) clearly refers to surface sublimation. Is 1) meant exclusively for
ice suspended in the atmosphere, or could it also apply to the surface?

thanks
Karl

Dear faithful CMIP5 comrades:
;-)
In Amon table, line 32 variable "sbl" is defined as
"water_sublimation_flux" in standard name and "Surface Snow and Ice
Sublimation Flux" in long name. In LImon tab line 22 variable "sbl"
is defined as "surface_snow_and_ice_sublimation_flux" in standard name
(and long name).

The descriptions are a bit different but the variable name is the same.
    What should "sbl" be?

Thanks for your time,
Denis
