Dear Jonathan,
These names were among the CMIP5 quantities that were added at the last
table update. I agree that changing the phrase to cloud_liquid_water
for these names would be more consistent with all other cloud liquid
names (including several others that were newly introduced for CMIP5). I
will add aliases for these three quantities:
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_heteroge
neous_nucleation_from_cloud_liquid will become
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_heteroge
neous_nucleation_from_cloud_liquid_water
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_melting_
to_cloud_liquid will become
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_melting_
to_cloud_liquid_water
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_riming_f
rom_cloud_liquid will become
tendency_of_mass_fraction_of_stratiform_cloud_ice_in_air_due_to_riming_f
rom_cloud_liquid_water
