Dear Christian

Example 7.6 is near to what you need: it is for seasons (time=4), rather than
months (time=12). It is for seasonal minimum; for the seasonal mean the
cell_methods would be
"time: mean within years time: mean over years"
You are right that the unit of month is problematic, and is deprecated in
section 4.4; you could use days or shorter units.
