Hi-
I would like to second Roy's request for attributes like
this. For the IDV (
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv)
we currently have to read the data to figure out the appropriate
max/min for color ranges unless it is predefined by the user.
Having such attributes would be a big boon to visualization
clients.
