Hi all,
I just wanted to put my two cents in here. I sometimes struggle with
dealing with the units for conductivity in software outside of the CF
framework. I notice that you are having a dialogue with the OTS
community. I don't know much about their normal instrument
configuration but in dealing with oceanographic profile data I
frequently deal with instruments from Seabird. Their standard units for
recording conductivity are
Siemens per meter S/m
miliSiemens per centimeter mS/cm
micro Siemens per centimeter uS/cm
To my knowledge these are more or less standard. I personally have
never dealt with microSiemens per centimeter however.
