Dear all,
I was looking for vertical velocity in the standard name list and I found
the entry:
omega (Pa s-1)
What was the rationale behind calling it 'omega' rather than upward_velocity
or upward_wind or upward_air_velocity. It seems odd to use the name of the
Greek character rather than a physical description.
Any thoughts?
